A reminder from the Woodland Police Department to always wear your seatbelt. We all know Washingtonians are great at wearing their seat belts – and that a stubborn 7% continue to resist.
And while we can take comfort that the vast majority of us buckle up, we continue to be concerned that 7% do not; and that a large number of those are young drivers. Thirty-five percent of young drivers killed in crashes in 2019 were not restrained, and drivers age 16-25 have the lowest seatbelt use rate of all ages of drivers involved in fatal crashes.
Buckle Up & Drive Safely!!!

The Woodland Police Department would like to remind drivers you're required to move over or slow down at least 10 miles per hour below the speed limit if you see an emergency vehicle and/or tow truck driver with lights active. This reminder comes from the recent tragedy last week on Interstate 5 at milepost 45 where 3 people lost their lives.

Thank you for being considerate and doing your part to make sure they can make it home safe.
