Hey Wildcat and Lion Families,
We have an upcoming For the Love of the Game Fundraiser on October 25th at 9am. It is our Annual 5K Community Fun Run and we need your help! We are looking for help in four ways:
1. Sign up to run in the event
2. Promote the event by telling your friends and families, businesses you work for, and on Social Media
3. Obtain a sponsor from your business or work place. A sponsorship is $200, includes two entries into the race and your business logo on the t-shirt, Money and logo due October 10th
4. If you can’t run, sign up to volunteer the day of the event, even better, you run and then find a friend to volunteer!

Cost of entry is $25 for adults $15 for kids. Come out and have some fun and raise needed funds for our school!
For more information contact Athletic Director, Stacey Mounce at [email protected] or Michael Papas at [email protected]

Thanks for your support

Hi all, Our big fundraiser for Country for Coaches is coming May 30th at the Yolo County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 and will feature 5 country artists (I think), one of whom is Steve Holy. We are always looking for sponsors for the event and I’ll have tickets to sell soon. If you are interested or know someone who has a business that would like to sponsor the event, please pass it on. This event 100% of the profit goes straight to pay for our coaches, without this event we would not be able to have sports at the secondary level. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi all,
Last year was our first effort as a district to raise funds for sports as a whole, the event was held at the Yolo Fairgrounds and was called Country4Coaches. It was a great success and raised about $40,000. We are gearing up for Country4Caoches II. The event is sponsored by the Wolf radio station and will be held May 31 at the Fairgrounds. This year’s talent features James Wesley, Weston Burt, Flat Busted and The Lost Trailers. Tickets are $20. I have tickets in my office and am open to start selling now, they can also be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com.

There are also a few other ways that you can help support this event:
1. Become a sponsor or forward the sponsor packet info on to friends and families that own businesses
2. Sign up with me to work a one hour shift that basically entails trash pick up (I know, not super glorious, but what we’ve been assigned for the year.)
3. Spread the word about this great upcoming event to help sports stay in Woodland.

Thanks for any help and support you can give. Go Wildcats!

There has been talk in the community that the district restored funding to athletics. For middle schools, the district is only funding 70% of 8th grade coaches. The schools are responsible for raising the money for 7th grade. We need your help so that Douglass and Lee can
continue to provide 7th and 8th grade sports.
