2023 Excellence in Education Awards
The annual Excellence in Education Awards recognizes individual and program excellence from the five school districts in Yolo County, plus individuals and programs from the Yolo County Office of Education and the Los Rios and Yuba Community College districts.
As part of “Community and Educator Appreciation Day” with UC Davis Athletics, the Excellence in Education awardees for Yolo County were recognized on-field during the UC Davis Football game vs. Southern Utah. Thank you to UC Davis for honoring our incredible local educators.

YCOE Women's History Month Celebration
In honor of Women's History Month, join us as we celebrate women's stories, contributions, and accomplishments. This year's speakers include Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and Dr. Colette Harris-Mathews.
Last week, 35,000 at-home rapid antigen tests were distributed to public schools in Yolo County. The test kits will support the testing of students and staff as they return from spring break.
The rapid tests will be distributed at schools according to the district's break schedule. Check with your district before spring break to learn how test kits will be distributed.

Take a look as 30,000 rapid test kits were unloaded for distribution to the five school districts in Yolo County. These test kits will be used to identify any students infected with COVID-19 to prevent further spread within the school community.
Thank you to California Governor, Yolo County HHSA Community Health Branch and the California Department of Public Health for providing these test kits to support keeping schools open.
