The Roadmap to the Future Needs Assessment has been released. Thank you to the Yolo County Board of Supervisors, WestEd, and Consero Solutions for your support in completing this foundational document for the community.

On the release of the report, County Superintendent Garth Lewis states: "This document is not just a collection of data and insights. It serves as a guide to ensure a future of thriving for children and youth. Our vision for the Roadmap to the Future is bold and straightforward: Every child or youth born, cared for, or educated in Yolo County receives an advantage because of the community’s response to their educational and developmental needs."

The Roadmap to the Future Needs Assessment has been released! The document is a foundational component of a multi-year communitywide effort to build on Yolo County's history of collaborating to achieve important goals.

The Yolo County Office of Education with support from Consero Solutions produced the Needs Assessment with WestEd. We encourage the community to actively engage with the document, to reflect on its findings, and to discuss them with your networks. Read the report at ycoe.org/roadmap.

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has notified Yolo County of a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) due to adverse weather conditions, such as high winds, which could cause tree branches or debris to contact energized power lines, potentially leading to wildfires. This PSPS event will affect parts of Yolo County starting Tuesday, July 2 at 4:00 a.m., with power restoration planned for Wednesday, July 3 by 4:00 p.m.

For more information, visit pge.com/psps and find PSPS maps at www.YoloCounty.org/PSPS . The map indicates city boundaries with blue dots, areas of potential PSPS impact in small pink shapes outside of Capay Valley, and green shapes in Winters. Approximately 200 residents may be affected.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
