Tom Stallard believes in building community, servant leadership and civic engagement. He helps make connections across the greater Sacramento region and promotes civic discourse and engagement. Currently serving as Mayor of Woodland, CA, Tom is a widely recognized regional leader and businessman who launched three successful businesses: a law practice, a nationally prominent legislative research c
ompany and a historic building renovation firm called "the Rose Colored Glass Company." The firm's pro bono research on the Public Trust Doctrine from the 1879 California Constitution for the case of Audubon v. Department of Water and Power, forever changed environmental law and insured that Mono Lake would be saved. Tom has played a lead role in the restoration of the Woodland Opera House, the organization of the California State Library Foundation, and the California State Archives Foundation and was founding president of the Golden State Museum. He and his wife served on the steering committee that helped raise a substantial part of the funding for the Mondavi Center at the University of California, Davis. Tom has served on the boards of KVIE, the UC Davis Foundation, the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, the Woodland Opera House and the B Street Theater. Tom served eight years as a Yolo County Supervisor, has chaired the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and the Cleaner Air Partnership.
