Batteries are all around us, becoming smaller yet more powerful year after year. Did you know that placing batteries in your trash can is ILLEGAL!? Re-chargeable / lithium-ion batteries pose a HUGE fire risk for waste professionals, waste facilities, and, consequently, our environment. Even a tiny crack in a lithium-ion battery can lead to spontaneous combustion. Dispose of your batteries appropriately by bringing them to the Yolo County Central Landfill or scanning the QR code in the flyer to find a drop-off location near you.
