USDA Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) Research and Extension Experience in Energy and the Environment across Agriculture Disciplines (RE2AD)

This is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) funded Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) project. The program is structured as collaborative research groups to teach students how to conduct research with their mentors' guidance. Students will learn to work independently and collaboratively in three key research areas: 1) Energy Efficiency in Agriculture Systems, 2) Water Quality and Management, 3) Agriculture Economics and Decision Making.

SPUR provides opportunities for undergraduate students interested in research careers to participate in research. In addition to obtaining research experience in state-of-the-art facilities, you will attend weekly career and professional development workshops, as well as build your presentation and communication skills through scientific presentations. Dive into an unforgettable summer research experience at Mystic Aquarium! 🐠

The Mystic Aquarium Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is now accepting applications for an incredible 10-week training opportunity.

-At least 50% of the students will be recruited from underrepresented minority groups, ensuring a rich and varied learning environment.

-Gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art marine science labs, as well as collaboration with UConn's Department of Marine Sciences.

-Investigate how global change impacts marine animals and their ecosystems. You'll have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of research topics, all centered around the overarching question: How do environmental stressors affect the physiology, behavior, and ecology of phytoplankton and marine animals in relation to the marine ecosystem?

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program in the Pharmaceutical and Environmental sciences

The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program. The program is intended for highly motivated undergraduates interested in a research career in the pharmaceutical and environmental sciences. Students are provided with an opportunity to conduct full-time research in areas related to Pharmacology and Toxicology, Environmental Health Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Clinical Pharmacy. The SURF program is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at a university in the United States. Previous experience performing independent laboratory or clinical research is not required.

Environmental & Earth Systems Research at Biosphere 2 at U Arizona provides undergrads a 10 week opportunity to conduct research with a faculty mentor & participate in professional development & outreach.
