Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
In our county, we remember the 12 peace officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, including 2 from our own Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Walter Leinberger and Deputy Jose “Tony” Diaz.
Their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten.
These heroes answered the call to serve with honor and stood willing to protect their communities at all costs. Today, we remember their sacrifice, support their families and fellow officers, and renew our gratitude for all who wear the badge.
Please join us in honoring their legacy and keeping their memory alive.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Public Administrators Section for organizing the annual Yolo County Memorial Service. We also want to thank all of the dedicated volunteers who help make this meaningful event a success each year. Everyone's hard work, compassion, and dedication to serving our community are truly appreciated.

This week, the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office joins agencies across the nation in recognizing National Peace Officers Memorial Week.

We honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while serving and protecting their communities. Their courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

We also recognize the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their legacy forward each day. Their strength and resilience remind us of the lasting impact these heroes had on the communities they served.

Throughout this week, we reflect on the meaning of service, honor, and duty, while expressing our appreciation for the men and women who continue to serve our community with professionalism and integrity.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today, we honor all the moms, grandmas, and mother figures who give so much to their families and communities every day. We also want to recognize the amazing moms within our agency who balance family life with serving others.

As we wrap up National Correctional Officers Week, we would like to congratulate Correctional Officers Supriano, Licea, and Castle on graduating from the Solano County Corrections Academy.

We would also like to welcome aboard our newest Correctional Officers, Martin, Roser-Hudspeth, Ortega, and Avina who have recently joined our department.

Join us in wishing them all a long, safe, and successful career with the Yolo County Sheriff's Office.
