September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Every school day matters. When students attend school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in their school communities, and stay on track toward academic success.

Under the leadership of California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, the CDE is working alongside school districts to promote meaningful student and parent engagement, strengthen attendance strategies, and help every student attend consistently.

Let’s work together to make every school day count. When students show up, they have more opportunities to thrive! 🏫

What a fantastic turnout for Back to School Night! 🌟

A huge thank you to our incredible teachers, dedicated staff, and amazing Prairie families for coming out, connecting, and making the evening such a success. We loved seeing our classrooms filled with smiles, high fives, and excitement for the school year ahead.

Today was E – Empathy Day as the final day of P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Week! Prairie Pumas showed empathy to others by wearing mismatched shoes and socks to demonstrate kindness and empathy for other people’s experiences.

Today was D – Determination Day as part of our P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Week! Our Prairie Pumas showed their school spirit by wearing jerseys or colors of their favorite sports team to show their determination to be a positive part of Prairie’s school team.

Today was I – Integrity Day as part of our P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Week! Prairie Pumas showed their school spirit by wearing their favorite color from head to toe to demonstrate that they stay true to their integrity and make good choices.

Today was R – Respect Day as part of our P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Week! Our Pumas showed their spirit by wearing their favorite hats and, more importantly, showing what respect looks like throughout the school day.

We are proud of our students for treating themselves, others, and our school with respect! 🐾

It’s P.R.I.D.E. Spirit Week at Prairie! 🐾

Today we celebrated P – Prepared! Students showed they were prepared to learn by wearing their Prairie school colors and showing their Puma pride!

Tomorrow is R – Respect — hats off to respect! 🎩🧢 Students can wear their favorite hat as we celebrate what it means to show respect to ourselves, others, and our school.
