The time frame for the mandatory Declaration of Intention for judicial candidates is October 30, 2023, to November 8, 2023. The filing fee must be paid at this time and is non-refundable. Signatures In-Lieu of filing fee will not be accepted after the Declaration of Intention is filed. If an incumbent for Judge of the Superior Court does not file a Declaration of Intention by the November 8 deadline, the Declaration of Intention period is extended until November 13.

The Yolo County Board of Supervisors passed a Resolution on September 12, 2023, proclaiming September 11-15th as Disability Voting Rights Week.

“We are proud to say Yolo County is the first county in the State of California to take part in the American Association of People with Disabilities’ national, nonpartisan initiative,” said Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Registrar of Voters.

Disability Voting Rights Week brings attention to registering and educating voters about aspects of the voting process that affect people with disabilities. VAAC members, Elections staff, and Board of Supervisors pose with the resolution proclaiming September 11–15th, Disability Voting Rights Week.

Yolo County Releases Amended Draft Election Administration Plan for 14-Day Public Comment Period.

The amended draft EAP is available for public viewing on our Voter’s Choice Act webpage: https://www.yoloelections.org/voters-choice-act. The amended EAP is also available in Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, and Spanish.

You may submit public comments no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023.
