This is just a reminder that this afternoon both WHS and WGS will conduct their annual lockdown drills in coordination with law enforcement as required by Illinois law. This drill was previously announced to parents and scheduled ahead of time.

GRADE SCHOOL September Calendar

Earlier today at Woodlawn Grade School, administration was alerted to a verbal threat made by a student. Our District Threat Assessment Team, alongside local law enforcement, responded immediately to investigate and resolve the situation.
Appropriate disciplinary and safety measures have been implemented and law enforcement was fully involved and documented the incident. While we would prefer to share more specific information, we cannot share identifiable individual student details due to federal and state student privacy laws. If there is specific information that parents or the community need to know about this, or any other student safety situation that can be shared publicly, it will be shared by school staff.
