Meet Beth Pluister, an MLP Teaching Assistant at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School!
Her favorite subject in school was Math, and today she loves being part of a supportive learning environment.

🤼‍♂️🏆 Congratulations to the Thomas Jefferson Junior High School wrestling team on an outstanding performance at the IESA State Meet this weekend!

The Wolverines had four state placers and finished an impressive 10th overall as a team:
🥉 Thatcher Christ (112) – 3rd place
🏅 Angelo Pizza (145) – 6th place
🏅 Eric Roberson (167) – 4th place
🏅 Frankie Martinez (215) – 4th place

Meet Kim Martin, a 7th Grade ELA Teacher at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School!
Her favorite subject in school was Reading, which naturally led her to English Language Arts.

Kim says the best part of Woodridge 68 is her coworkers and students, who make every day rewarding.

Outside of school, she enjoys time with her three daughters and her dog. 🐶💙

🧠🔬 Learning by doing!

Thomas Jefferson Junior High School students got hands-on in their Medical Detectives class as they explored the structure and function of the brain through a real-life dissection. This engaging experience helped students connect science concepts to how the human body works—just like real medical professionals.

🐝🏆 Congratulations to our Woodridge 68 Spelling Bee Champion!

Way to go Evelyn Smith, an 8th grader at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School, who won the district spelling bee after an intense 17-round competition that ended in a back-and-forth battle between the final two spellers! Her winning word: corrosive 👏

This marks Evelyn’s second district title—she was also the champion in 2024 as a 6th grader at Willow Creek Elementary School. She will now represent Woodridge 68 at the DuPage County Spelling Bee on February 19.

We’re so proud of you, Evelyn—good luck at county! 💙

After kicking things off with a 3–0 run, the Wolverines now stand at 3–1, showing hustle, heart, and teamwork on the court. 🐾💙
