Today, students are filling the hallways of Woodruff Primary School, Woodruff Elementary School, Woodruff Intermediate School and Woodruff Middle School, marking the beginning of another exciting school year! 📚

This year is especially memorable as our community celebrates the opening of two brand-new schools, Woodruff High School and Libertas Academy! The two schools will welcome students for the very first time!🏫

This is a historic school year for our community as two schools will be welcoming students for the first time!🏫

As the School Resource Officer at Libertas Academy, Officer Switzer is excited to help students, families and staff begin this new chapter together!🍎

This school year is an exciting one for our community as we celebrate the opening of two brand-new schools!🏫

While there's a lot that's new this year, one thing remains the same at Woodruff Primary School...Officer Darrell Dawkins is back, beginning his 9th year as the school's School Resource Officer!🚓

"It is an opportunity to let each child who walks in this door know that they are loved," said Dawkins.

For nearly a decade, Officer Dawkins has been a trusted presence on campus, building relationships with students, supporting teachers and staff, and helping create a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn and grow!

There is a lot of be excited about, especially as our community celebrates the opening of two new schools that will welcome students for the very first time!🍎✏️

As students head back to the classroom, we ask everyone to do their part by slowing down, staying alert and becoming familiar with the updated traffic patterns and school zones!

At last night’s City Council meeting, the Municipal Assn of SC presented the City of Woodruff with its 2026 Municipal Achievement Honor Roll plaque🏢

The Municipal Association of South Carolina recognizes cities and towns where 100% of their sitting council members have graduated from the Municipal Elected Officials (MEO) Institute, demonstrating a commitment to continuing education and effective local government.

This year, Woodruff was one of only 8 of South Carolina's 171 municipalities to earn this prestigious Honor Roll designation.

Congratulations to our City Council for their dedication to learning, leadership and serving the citizens of Woodruff!
