The Woodsfield Police Department has responded to numerous animal complaints as the weather has been cold. It is now cold enough where dogs should not be left outside for extended periods of time.

In the last 2 days, 2 dogs have been seized from 2 unrelated properties. Including being formally charged for cruelty to animals.

We would like to remind residents to monitor your outdoor dog’s food, water, straw supply and well-being. Neglect to your pets will not be tolerated.
