What an incredible day of generosity, community, and giving back! We loved seeing the smiles from our 4-H kids, buyers, and families as animals were donated to help Fill the Freezer and support local families in need.

A HUGE thank you to every buyer and exhibitor who chose to donate their beef or hog purchase. Your generosity is making a real difference right here in our community!

With everything moving so quickly throughout the sale, we know a few photos and moments may have slipped through the cracks. If we missed getting a picture of you or your family, please know that your generosity was seen, appreciated, and absolutely did not go unnoticed.

What an amazing community we live in! Today 24 hogs, 3 market steers and 1 feeder calf steer were all donated to fill the freezer! We cannot thank the buyers enough for their support of the the very first Monroe County Fill the Freezer! 🐷🐮

Today is the day!!! Fill the freezer will kick off today at 4pm at the large animal sale at the Monroe County Livestock Sale! Hog and beef purchases can be donated to our Fill the Freezer campaign and all processing costs are covered by the Monroe County Community Foundation and all meat will then be distributed to the local food pantries. Please join us as we make great things happen! If you want to help support the campaign without purchasing an animal the following link will go directly to the processing costs!
