This is the official page of Shenandoah County Public Schools in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The purpose of the official Shenandoah County Public Schools social media platforms is to provide information to our school community. Social media posts and content may be used to inform, announce, educate, recognize, celebrate,

build awareness, clarify, entertain, and/or share and promote the mission, vision, beliefs, goals, programs, and initiatives of Shenandoah County Public Schools. Posts and other content added by the administrators of Shenandoah County Public Schools social media platforms are official Shenandoah County Public Schools information. By using or accessing the social media page of Shenandoah County Public Schools, you agree to comply with the applicable social media platform’s Terms and Conditions. Shenandoah County Public Schools reserves the right to remove content, including:
-Conduct that violates the terms and conditions of the applicable social media platform (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
-Illegal conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
-Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates prohibited discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation
-Conduct that is threatening, inciting, harassing, or bullying
-Content that is unrelated to the original SCPS post
-Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party, such as copyright or trademark infringement
-Information that is false
-Content that compromises the safety or security of SCPS, any of its schools, staff, or students
-Personnel information, individually identifiable student information, or other confidential material
-Profane language or content
-Promotions of services or products
-Promotions of political candidates or organizations
-Sexual harassment or sexual content
-Solicitations of commerce or advertisements including promotion or endorsement
-Spam or comments that include links to external online sites
-Conduct that is otherwise in violation of School Board policies or that reasonably may lead to the substantial disruption of or material interference with SCPS school operations

Comments in violation of these terms and conditions may be removed from the applicable SCPS official social media platform. Users are encouraged to report content that violates the social media platform's Terms and Conditions by using the official procedure for the applicable social media platform. Individuals should be aware that their comments or posts on social media may be subject to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and records retention requirements. Shenandoah County Public Schools may be obligated to retain public comments in its records and/or disclose the information if requested.

At our June Shenandoah County School Board meeting, we recognized students who attended the FCCLA State Leadership & Recognition Conference and staff who completed the 2025-26 SCPS Administrative Leadership Academy.

Multiple students from across Shenandoah County were celebrated for placing first in their STAR events and qualifying for nationals, including:

Congratulations to the Strasburg High School Baseball & Softball teams on winning the Region 2B championships Thursday evening! The Rams each knocked off Central, with the baseball team winning their first Region title since 2015 with a 14-4 win and the softball team winning their first Region title ever with a 1-0 win.

Both teams will now host King William at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the VHSL state quarterfinals!

Stonewall Jackson High School held their annual Science Day the last week of school. In the old gym, SJHS students ran science-themed stations for kindergarten and preschool students from Ashby - Lee Elementary School. They had 10 stations total, including water play, chemical reactions, animals, forces, fossils, magnetism, and electricity!
