Woodstock Fire Company No. 5 Emergency Rescue Squad would like to acknowledge and thank all of our volunteer Medics, EMTs, CFRs, drivers, and social members, past and present, for bringing excellence in emergency care to our community for over half a century. We also express our deepest appreciation to the Woodstock Fire Department career EMS staff, our mutual aid partners, and 911 Dispatchers who assure that outstanding pre-hospital care is delivered to the public 24/7/365.

For practitioners, EMS Week provides the opportunity to participate in a myriad of amazing training opportunities as well as recognition events, all while assuring that there are crews on the road to respond to emergencies. The dedication and commitment that these providers bring is essential. EMS is a calling, and we appreciate the unsurpassed care, skill, and compassion that these professionals bring to their work every day.

Come learn how to use a fire extinguisher and meet with your local Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics.

Congratulations to all!!

There’s big talk about these well-deserving award receipients! Let’s give a loud congratulations to all our award recipients! We are also honoring numerous life saving/unit citation awards that will be announced later on!!

There were over 100 nominations this year. The decision was not easy and it took the committee about 3 1/2 hours to pick the winners. We want to applaud everyone for their hard work and dedication and encourage everyone to keep doing EMS Excellence!!!!

Our Awards Recognition Dinner will be Saturday May 23,2026 at The Venue Uptown! We hope to see you there!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to donate at our latest American Red Cross blood drive which was held in memory of Company 5 members Kathy Platsky and Jerry Reubens. Through your generosity, we were able to collect 31 pints of whole blood in their honor, a fitting tribute to their dedication to the Woodstock Rescue Squad blood drives over the years!

A special thank you to Maureen Huben who welcomed all of the donors at the drive and now leads the Company 5 Blood Drive Committee.
