Our Ambassadors got an inside look at economic development in motion during this year’s ED 101 — and this time, we took learning off‑site.

A huge thank‑you to Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) for opening their doors and showing our ambassadors what strategic partnership looks like in real life. From why they chose Cherokee to how they’ve continued to expand here, UAC’s story is a powerful example of what happens when business, community, and long‑term vision align.

We were also honored to hear from Misti Martin, Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce, who shared how state and local partners work hand‑in‑hand to make Cherokee a place where companies can land, grow, and thrive.

To our ambassadors: thank you for your commitment, your curiosity, and your leadership. You are the bridge between our community and the opportunities ahead — and together, we’re shaping a stronger, more connected Cherokee.

Congratulations to our seniors who we honored at the annual Be Pro Be Proud Georgia Skilled Professions Signing Day last week at Woodstock Arts in partnership the Cherokee County GA School District and Chattahoochee Technical College.

50 Cherokee County seniors were recognized for their commitment to pursuing careers or education in Georgia's most essential skilled fields. Thank you for your contribution to these critical fields that keep our state running!

A huge congratulations to Annabell Meyer of Aspire Great Media on her performance at the statewide Georgia FLEX competition. Annabell represented Cherokee County as the FLEX Cherokee champion, pitching alongside 17 other student businesses from across the state.

We are so proud of Annabell's accomplishments and dedication and we are proud to have her representing our business community here in Cherokee. Congratulations to all the Georgia FLEX and FLEX Cherokee participants on taking the first step and starting your entrepreneurial journey!
