Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Woodstock Fire/Rescue District crews responded to the 2300 block of Linden Drive after a vehicle crashed into the first floor of an end-unit townhome.
Crews arrived to find heavy damage to the residence, including intrusion into the living space. The adult male driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Two adults and two children who were asleep inside the home at the time of the crash were not injured.
Due to the extent of the damage, the affected residential unit was deemed uninhabitable pending repairs. The City of Woodstock Building Department responded to evaluate the structural damage, while the American Red Cross assisted the displaced family with temporary lodging and other immediate needs.
The crash remains under investigation by the Woodstock Police Department. We are grateful that no residents were injured as a result of the incident.
