From NHEE:
School districts across the country and in New Hampshire received federal funding through COVID relief packages. Environmental education activities are an allowable use for these funds and we are working to get the word out to school districts and school boards about these opportunities.
We invite you to an upcoming webinar on September 30th at 1pm. Hosted by NAAEE and our Affiliate partners, this webinar will feature federal, state, and local school administrators and educators as they share how they are using a portion of their COVID relief funds to help students and teachers learn (and thrive) outside.
Please share widely with your networks, especially teachers, administrators and district level staff.

Sharing message from GLOBE and the National Association of Geoscience Teachers...

"Teaching with Investigation and Design (TiDeS) is currently seeking applications from faculty and instructors who teach undergraduate introductory courses in Earth science, life science, and physical science to join our curricular materials development teams.

The primary goal of the TIDeS project is to engage and support faculty and instructors in developing, testing, and implementing high-quality instructional materials that put investigation and design at the center of their introductory undergraduate science courses.

To achieve that goal, we are seeking a total of 15 instructors who will work together in three teams of five to develop new curricular materials focused on investigation and design that are broadly adaptable across the large community of institutions and faculty in life science, Earth science, and physical science. Each team will develop a full course of materials within their discipline, using the Next Generation Science Standards as a guide for focusing the content and approach. Teaching with these new materials will benefit all students, while giving future teachers learning experiences they can model in the future.

As a member of a TIDeS materials development team, you and your cohort will engage in a rigorous and strongly supported process to co-develop and test instructional materials for your introductory science course. Team members will receive a substantial stipend for their work."

Visit the TIDeS website to learn more about the materials development teams and to apply. https://serc.carleton.edu/tides/md_teams.html

"Join us for a 2-week deep dive into the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Together, we will investigate this framework and apply the Global Goals to local, regional, and global contexts. We will build upon our own knowledge of self, community, and place in order to deepen and refine our understanding of education for sustainability. Guest presenters from the UN’s Network of Regional Centers for Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development will bring additional perspectives to the discourse. Selections from Shelburne Farms’ Healthy Neighborhoods/Healthy Kids curriculum will be used as a starting point as we apply the SDGs to our own communities. Participants will design a community-based project for youth voice and agency that generates local action for global solutions."
