Graduation Spotlight!

Congratulations to Kaylee Saucier on her graduation from The Woodstock Academy this morning!

Kaylee spent the last semester as a job shadow student with us at Woodstock EMS. She rode alongside our EMS duty crews observing 911 emergency responses, training exercises, and community outreach events.

She received training on BLS CPR, stop the bleed, and other emergency medical topics and then assisted with the training of fellow classmates at the academy.

Kaylee has become a part of our family in the few short months she has been shadowing.

EMTs Chandler and Hamel, shown in this picture, were some of the main providers that Kaylee observed.

Kaylee plans to attend EMT training over the summer before beginning her college studies in the fall.

Congratulations to Kaylee and all of the other Woodstock Academy graduates of 2026! 🎉

Thank you to Jewett City Savings bank for their generous donation to our EMS Service!

The JCSB Foundation received a thank you message today from Woodstock EMS regarding a grant they received. We are happy to provide funding to first responders so they may acquire the equipment they need to assist the community.

"Woodstock EMS is grateful for the generous contribution from Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation, which assisted in the purchase of a new vitals monitor for use in our newly delivered ambulance. This state-of-the-art piece of monitoring equipment allows for accurate assessment of blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature. This device can also provide readings for carbon dioxide levels. This allows our providers to more accurately assess respiratory status and overall patient condition during certain emergencies. The addition of this monitor will directly impact the care that we are able to deliver in emergency situations by allowing us to quickly and accurately assess vital signs and continue monitoring of patient condition during transport. This monitor will allow Woodstock EMS to further pursue our mission of delivering the highest level of care in an emergency situation to the residents of the Town of Woodstock. Thank you again to Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation for your contribution towards Emergency Medical Services, we are grateful for this investment in our community. "

We are proud to announce that our new Ambulance 576 has been officially placed into service!

This unit is a 2026 Ford F450 paired with an AEV Ambulance box. It is replacing the previous Ambulance 576, a 2009 Ford F550, after 17 years of service. We are fortunate to be placing this unit in service after multiple delays due to supply chain issues encountered during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This unit will serve the town with pride, answering 911 calls as our primary service ambulance and providing prompt, professional care to those in need.

A huge thank you to Eastford Fire Rescue Sales for their assistance in the purchase of this unit!
