This amazing group of community leaders, a.k.a LGMC Class of 2026, gathered for their Closing Retreat at Loyola University Retreat & Ecology Campus. They reviewed the LGMC experience with an emphasis on individual leadership growth, reflecting on The Leadership Challenge and linking community leadership. Thank you to guest speakers Mike Luecht and Frannie Glosson for sharing their pearls of wisdom on gratitude and what it means to be an engaged community leader.

We’re honored to celebrate our Executive Director, Catherine Jones, whose inspiring journey and exceptional leadership were recently highlighted in the Northwest Herald as a Woman of Distinction. The feature shines a light on her career of service and collaboration, as well as her ability to build meaningful relationships across McHenry County.

As the article notes, Catherine is a lifelong learner, a leader of leaders, and a true conduit between businesses and the workforce. She’s the conductor who keeps complex initiatives moving in harmony while juggling collaborations, strengthening partnerships, and constantly expanding her own depth of knowledge. She doesn’t shy away from challenges; she reaches for them, turning possibility into progress.

Having her guide LGMC is a privilege, and we’re genuinely excited about all that lies ahead under her visionary leadership.

Catherine Jones is relatively new to her role as executive director of Leadership Greater McHenry County, but has a long professional history of connecting people with potential employers, mainly through her previous role at McHenry County College.

Congratulations to the LGMC Youth Class of 2027!
