🎃👻 Our October Ranchers Roundup was full of Halloween fun, festive decorations, and meaningful professional learning!
While we enjoyed getting into the Halloween spirit, we also dug into the foundational instructional strategy of feedback and how to maximize its impact in the classroom.
Our learning focused on making feedback meaningful by incorporating rubrics throughout the learning process, not just at the end.
Through a flipped classroom approach, teachers explored a module from our Teacher Toolbox and engaged in reflection about how feedback is currently used and how to maximize its impact on student learning.
We also learned more about the “I See, I Think, I Wonder” strategy to encourage academic discussion, curiosity, and student ownership of learning.
Teachers then participated in the strategy themselves as they examined STAR assessment data from August to October, using it as a checkpoint to reflect on student growth within their grade levels.
