NFA Leadership training opportunity at Evesham FD see below for details…
Evesham FD will be hosting the six-day National Fire Academy Command and Control of Fire Department Operations at Target Hazards class (N0314) in October (see course description below). Class dates are Monday October 19 – Saturday October 24. Class times are Monday – Friday 0800-1700 hours and Saturday 0800-1230ish. Location: Evesham FD Station 221 - 26 East Main Street.
This will be a fantastic Officer development class and is a rare opportunity to attend a six-day NFA class without traveling to Emmitsburg, MD.

Course Description:
This 6-day course is designed to introduce command officers to the complexities involved in commanding incidents in high-risk areas. Students are confronted with a number of fire and rescue incidents that include high life hazard, multiple exposure and unusual occupancy risk considerations. Students are taught operational applications in the Incident Command System (ICS), command and control, decision-making, strategic and tactical considerations, pre-incident preparation, documentation, and post-incident analysis.
Several simulations and case studies are used to depict and review incidents in various types of target hazards such as:
Correctional institutions
Bulk oil-storage facilities
Nursing homes
Colleges
Chemical/agricultural manufacturing plants
Grain elevators
The course is comprehensive and uses lecture, case study, simulation and student participation as instructional methods. This course is not a tactics class but explains the development of the Incident Management Teams.
Target audience: Individuals or Company Officers who would have the responsibility to command incidents involving target hazards. Additionally, officers who may have this responsibility eventually and are upwardly mobile in their organizations.
