Brooke Koi Sworn In as Criminal District Attorney for Tyler County

Woodville, Texas — Brooke Koi, a long time resident of Tyler County, has been sworn in as the Criminal District Attorney for Tyler County, following her appointment by Governor Abbott.

Koi brings four years of experience serving the citizens of Tyler County as an Assistant District Attorney, where she has prosecuted a wide range of criminal matters and worked alongside law enforcement, victims, and the community to pursue justice.

Koi earned her Juris Doctor degree from Liberty University School of Law, where she concentrated her studies in Advocacy and Appellate Advocacy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, along with a minor in Animal Science.

“I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to continue serving the people of Tyler County in this role,” Koi said. “I look forward to building on the work of this office, supporting our law enforcement partners, advocating for victims, and ensuring that justice is pursued with fairness, integrity, and dedication.”

As Criminal District Attorney, Koi will lead the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office in prosecuting criminal offenses and representing the interests of the citizens of Tyler County.

WOODVILLE, TX – Tyler County Judge Milton Powers announced today that Mrs. Brooke Koi has been appointed by Governor Abbott and sworn in by District Judge Delinda Gibbs Walker as Tyler County’s District Attorney.

“I am honored to serve alongside Mrs. Koi,” said Judge Powers. “She has been a tremendous asset to our county, prosecuting a wide range of criminal matters and assisting the Commissioners Court on county issues.”

Judge Powers added, “I have seen the wisdom and knowledge she brings to this office and have complete trust that she will excel as District Attorney. She is an outstanding advocate for law enforcement and pursues justice with fairness and integrity.”
