Outdoor Classroom 2026 was a huge success! Last week’s cold front had us a little worried, but we were fortunate to have PERFECT weather! The presentations were wonderful as always, and the kids had a blast engaging with each one.

A new presenter this year was the Corps of Engineers, who shared an excellent presentation about water safety. Next year, they may even bring a boat!

A big thank you to all of our presenters, teachers, staff, and our faithful sponsor, Farm Credit, for continuing to make this event such a success year after year!

John Weir, Laura Goodman Ph.D., and Mark Turner Ph.D. visit with Trey Lam and Trampas Tripp about the Terry Peach North Canadian Watershed Restoration Pilot Project, a program designed to reduce invasive woody species, protect rural communities, improve rangeland health, and put more water back into Oklahoma soils and streams.

As you all may have heard, we are having ANOTHER Emergency Drought Assistance Program! Applications open Monday, March 9th at 8:30am.
Some important things to note:
1) Application Period: March 9, 2026, @ 8:30am - June 30, 2026, @ 4:00pm
2) See flyer for available practices
3) Funds are available on a first come, first serve basis
4) *NEW* District Staff will visually inspect and determine if there is a legitimate need for drought assistance BEFORE your application can be approved and funded
5) *NEW* *If applicable* A Landowner Consent form has to be turned in WITH a copy of a lease agreement/grazing agreement/etc.
We hope to see everyone bright and early Monday, March 9th!
