🚨 Special outdoor warning siren testing today in select communities 🚨

Please share!

Special weather siren testing will take place today in the communities of Redfield, Linden, Minburn, Dawson, and Woodward.

Residents may hear brief audible tones around 10:00 AM. While activation is expected to be short, hearing the sirens during this time is normal and part of the test.

No severe weather is expected today. This is only a test.
No action is required from the public.

Thank you for your awareness as we work to ensure these systems are functioning properly.

Members of Woodward Fire-Rescue, Bouton Fire and Rescue and Granger Fire & EMS participated in Ice Rescue training this morning. Thank you Granger EMS for the invitation to participate in hands-on training with the SIMIA (Simulation In Motion IA) Mobile Training Unit! πŸš’πŸ”₯

This incredible opportunity allowed our members to sharpen their skills, strengthen teamwork, and train in realistic, high-quality scenarios designed to better serve our community. Ongoing education and training are top priorities for our department, and we’re committed to staying prepared for whatever comes our way.

A big thank you to SIMIA for bringing this valuable resource to our area and investing in rural fire service training. We’re grateful for the chance to continue learning and growing β€” for you.

To our community,

The recent news involving the Fire Chief has understandably raised concerns. We do not take that lightly.

While the legal process will take its course, we want to reassure you that our department remains fully operational and united in our mission. The firefighters who respond to your emergencies each day are dedicated volunteers who care deeply about this community.

This is a time for unity, not division. We ask for your continued support for the men and women who show up every day ready to serve, protect, and stand beside you.

Together, we will move forward β€” stronger, transparent, and committed to earning and keeping your trust.

Once a month we hold a training night - an opportunity to learn new skills, brush up on old ones, and make sure we stay familiar with our trucks and equipment. Tonight we had a fire truck scavenger hunt - a fun way to get everyone used to where all the tools on our new truck are located. With this being the truck that rolls to the majority of our calls, it's important we stay sharp and know where to find what we need.
