Join us for The National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors Procession Monday June 8th at 4:00 at the Woodward Conference Center.

We invite you to come pay your respects to the EMS heroes who paid the ultimate price, including Woodward’s own Jeff Jones. This annual tribute pays respects across the nation to those who were tragically killed in the line of duty, giving their lives while helping others.

Please join us as we honor the 37 fallen as the procession stops at the Woodward County Event Center on its multi-state journey to Arlington, VA.

DID YOU KNOW: Not only is Woodward County EMS one of only a handful of ground EMS services in the state to carry blood products in the field, but we are also one of only a few ground or air services to utilize prehospital ultrasound as well.

Ultrasound can be used for simple tasks like starting difficult IVs to more complex tasks like detecting cardiac motion during cardiac arrest and numerous things in between.

Today our training involved using Ultrasound to detect a “pulse” and blood pressure in a patient with a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD). Video in comments.

Our crews go above and beyond, training with some of the more sophisticated equipment all in an effort to better treat our patients.
