Woolwich Fire/Rescue Woolwich Fire/Rescue The Fire Department is Volunteer, and the EMS department is Paid On call with per diem shifts available.

The Town of Woolwich Maine Fire Department operates out of 2 stations, one central station in town and a sub-station in the northern end of town. Woolwich Fire Rescue is led by Fire Chief Shaun Merrill, a town hired position. We are committed to protecting the people, property, and environment of our town. We remain responsive to the needs of our citizens and visitors by providing rapid, professio

nal services, with dignity, essential to health, safety and well-being. We accomplish this mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, rescue, and hazardous materials response. Woolwich Fire is part of the Sagadahoc and Lincoln County Fire Chiefs Associations and provides mutual aid to all the surrounding communities. Woolwich Fire Apparatus:

Recently three of our newest firefighters completed the Firefighter 1 & 2 program through Tri-County Fire Training. After hundreds of hours of classroom time, hands on training evolutions and lots of studying, all three have passed their written and practical skills end tests to become the latest Pro Board certified Firefighters for the town of Woolwich.

We are thankful for all three, FF Shannon Els, FF John Wallace and FF/EMT Andrew Follet.

The town of Woolwich as well as all of our mutual aid towns will reap the benefits of their newly acquired skills, knowledge as well as their commitment to serving our communities.

Chief Merrill, Deputy Chief Kirkpatrick and myself are thankful for the hard work and look forward to serving with you all in the future.

Please join us in thanking and congratulating all three on this milestone in their firefighting careers.
