The next Select Board Meeting in June will be held at the Old Town House located on the corner of Old Stage Road and Dana Mill Road. The Special Events Committee will be hosting a small celebration of the 250th Anniversary and will serve light refreshments. The Select Board holds their last meeting in June annually at the Old Town House as it was done historically back in the days of old. We would love to see our Woolwich residents participate in this annual event and what better time to come than the 250th Anniversary of America.

Wednesday, June 17th 5:00 PM at the Old Town House located at 526 Old Stage Road.

RSU1 Budget Meeting

On Tuesday, May 26th Only 25 registered voters from Woolwich showed up to vote on the upcoming RSU1 budget amount that will be voted on at the June 9th Primary Election which resulted in an increase to the initial budget of $43,390.00 with a final budget total of $24,620,811.00.
With this increase to the final budget of the RSU1, the Town of Woolwich’s share increased $490,041. An increase of 8.96%, which is the largest of the towns in the RSU1.
This will increase our monthly payment from $455,870,00 to $496,714,00.
Along with the increase in the County Budget this year of $126,963,00 for Woolwich, we will be unfortunately looking at a higher mil rate for this upcoming year’s taxes.
I encourage everyone to get out and vote on June 9th.
