Today, Woonsocket honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s Memorial Day ceremony so meaningful — and to all who joined us in remembering our fallen heroes. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, the City of Woonsocket pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer, it is a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We are deeply grateful to all who joined us for today’s Memorial Day ceremony and helped make it such a meaningful and memorable tribute. Thank you to our veterans, military families, and every resident who came together in remembrance and gratitude.

Your presence helped ensure that the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes will never be forgotten.

From all of us at the City of Woonsocket, we wish everyone a safe and reflective Memorial Day.

Woonsocket was proud to host today’s Small Business Awards with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Skills for Rhode Island's Future at our beautiful and historic Train Depot as we celebrated Small Business Week and the entrepreneurs who keep our economy moving.

Small businesses are the heart of Woonsocket; creating jobs, strengthening our neighborhoods, and bringing energy and character to our city. It was an honor to celebrate so many outstanding business owners from across Rhode Island.

A special Woonsocket congratulations to Cookie Chow for being recognized as a Small Business Award winner! We are proud to see one of our own celebrated during Small Business Week.

Congratulations to all of today’s awardees, and thank you for all you do to strengthen Rhode Island’s small business community.
