Melissa Schultz Nature Preserve The Melissa Schultz Nature Preserve entails over five acres of woods and meadow, with a ravine and creek that feed into Little Apple Creek.

The Melissa Schultz Nature Preserve aims to expose children and families to the magic of nature, to demonstrate and teach the principles of environmental sustainability, and to memorialize the life of Melissa Schultz, scientist and environmentalist. It memorializes Melissa M. Schultz, amazing scientist, educator, friend and mother, who was taken from us tragically last year. The property is immedi

ately adjacent to the Montessori School of Wooster and connects to Gerstenslager Park and the Martin Cabin to the north. The College of Wooster, which owns the property, has granted the Montessori School long-term use of the property as a nature preserve. Another wonderful run/hike celebrating the Earth and the legacy of Dr. Melissa Schultz. Thanks to all who made it in person or in thoughts and wow, did that pile of mulch dissapear! Melissa is often described as hardworking in tributes and apparently the company she kept can also be described that way. See you next April!
