In the coming weeks, I'll be deploying for a year to the National Capital Region in the Washington, D.C. area in support of Operation Noble Eagle. I'm thankful to have seen so many friends over the last few days as I prepare for this next chapter of service.

The NCR mission, consisting of sensors, alert fighters, and ground based air defense weapons systems, was established shortly after Sept. 11, 2001 at the direction of the Secretary of Defense for the sole purpose of defending the homeland.
