Congratulations to Our Newest Members and Newly Promoted Officers!

The New Pittsburg Fire Department was honored to hold a pinning ceremony recognizing both our newest members and those who have earned promotions through their dedication and commitment to serving our community.

Chief Joe Rice led the ceremony, and we were especially proud to have each member's family take part in the tradition by performing the pinning. Their support and encouragement play a vital role in the success of every firefighter.

Today instructors from the New Pittsburg, Town and Country, and Wooster Township Fire Departments worked together to provide CPR/AED/Choking training to 40 students from Mrs. Melegari's 8th grade classes from Northwestern middle school. These are life saving skills that these kids can take with them, and hopefully if they would ever need them be able to help those having an emergency. Thank you to all the instructors, students, and Mrs. Melegari for allowing us to have this opportunity.

This week at Pittsburg Fire EMT monthly training, we put our skills to the test with a hands-on proficiency night. 🚑🔥

Five stations were set up covering:• Basic vital signs• Airway management• Cardiac care• Trauma response• Medication therapy

It was a great opportunity to sharpen our skills, stay prepared, and work together as a team. Always a fun and valuable night of training!
