10% of US housing is already vacant. The problem isn't supply, it's that workers don't have enough money to buy what's been built, and adding more onto that pile isn't going to magically change that fact. We can't produce our way out of a crisis of overproduction. We need to address the actual reason workers can't afford to buy or rent in this city by driving down the cost of rent with affordable quality public housing and rent control. Ray Mariano doesn't know s**t about anything.

just because you're not funded by capitalists doesn't mean it's not charity. and, yeah, charity can help people, no question, but it's not a systemic solution. if we're passing around the same $5 to each other while billionaires continue to steal from us, we're not building anything, we're only treading water. and the difference between treading water and drowning is only a matter of time.
