Our Story
The Career Pathways program at YOU, Inc. provides structured academic support and tutoring to students who have dropped out of a traditional high school, with a goal of obtaining a High School Equivalency (HiSET), formerly known as the GED. The program’s smaller classrooms and very low student-to-teacher ratios allow students to improve their academic performance by meeting with a certified Educational Specialist five days per week, for 3 to 4 hours each day. At the same time, students work with a Career Development Specialist who helps them to develop pre-employment skills, explore higher education or career opportunities, participate in non-paid internships, and become economically self-sufficient.
We also provide FREE short term certificate trainings in Culinary Arts, Healthcare, and Residential Child & Youth Care.
The Career Pathways Program is free to eligible participants aged 16-24 and is funded through the Workforce Investment and Opportunities Act.
