Many people in the media are trying to spin this as a failed campaign. If anything, this campaign has made progressive organizing and activism palatable to an American majority.

We do not get to give up because of one electoral loss. It would be a disservice to the generations of workers who have fought and died for better working and living conditions in this country.

We hope you will stay in touch with us as we continue to organize for changes we must demand as young people. Noam Chomsky described it best in a recent interview:

"It’s common to say now that the Sanders campaign failed. I think that’s a mistake. I think it was an extraordinary success, completely shifted the arena of debate and discussion. Issues that were unthinkable a couple years ago are now right in the middle of attention. The worst crime he committed, in the eyes of the establishment, is not the policy he’s proposing; it’s the fact that he was able to inspire popular movements, which had already been developing — Occupy, Black Lives Matter, many others — and turn them into an activist movement, which doesn’t just show up every couple years to push a leader and then go home, but applies constant pressure, constant activism and so on."

Thank you to all the Clark students how put in the time to grow our movement. Because of you, we were able to flip Worcester and show our community that we will not accept anything less than a progressive agenda for the American people. At this time of unprecedented crisis, we are demonstrating now more than ever that we need Bernie's platform.

As you may have heard, Bernie Sanders is ending his campaign. We have a lot of work left to do, so please stay in touch for our next steps. It can be easy to despair as we all face real material challenges, but we need to look to each other for support and solidarity rather than divide ourselves up around the results of this primary. This group is run by young organizers and we have a lifetime to fight for a better future in the United States. We have a lot of work to do.
