A heartfelt thank you to Clark Street Community School for sharing these wonderful moments from their 2nd Grade Poetry Reading celebration!

We are honored that our book donations helped make this special event even more meaningful. Seeing students proudly share their poetry and families take home books to enjoy together is exactly why literacy matters so much.

Thank you to the students, families, and staff for fostering a love of reading both in and beyond the classroom. We are grateful to be a small part of these meaningful literacy experiences and look forward to supporting young readers in our community.

Worcester PreK spent the morning enjoying outdoor play, fresh air, and lots of smiles! From running and exploring to building friendships and having fun together, it was a great way to learn and grow outside the classroom. ☀️

We are incredibly honored to announce that we have received a $3,000 grant from the Worcester County Food Bank Fund at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation in support of our food justice work!

This is a major milestone for us. This is our very first grant dedicated specifically to food justice initiatives. It marks a massive step forward as we continue working toward equitable access to healthy, fresh food in our community.

A huge thank you to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation for believing in our mission and investing in a more equitable food system. We are deeply grateful for this support and excited for what’s ahead!

WAMS is proud to share that our donation of new books to Charlton Street School in Southbridge helped make their Family Literacy Night a huge success!

Thanks to everyone who supported and donated to our MLK Book Drive, every family who attended the event was able to go home with brand-new books. Students were excited to “shop” for books that matched their interests, and the joy on their faces said it all.

The school shared that many of their students have never had the opportunity to visit a bookstore, which made this experience even more meaningful. Your generosity helped create a night that encouraged reading, family connection, and excitement around literacy.

Thank you to all of our donors and supporters for helping WAMS make a difference in the lives of these students and families. Your kindness and commitment to literacy truly mattered.

Worcester Area Mission Society is proud to announce that, through our annual MLK Book Drive, we were able to donate over 1,625 brand-new books to 2nd and 3rd grade students across 11 schools!

This year, we were especially excited to welcome 4 newly added schools to the program, helping us reach even more young readers in our communities. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated books, volunteered, supported, and helped make this effort possible. Your generosity is inspiring a love of reading and making a meaningful difference in the lives of local children.
