EPOCA is reaching out for volunteers. We need individuals to assist with voter registration drives, helping clients seal their CORIs and lobbying at Mass State House addressing the need for criminal and social justice reforms.

It comes with profound sadness and heartbreak that EPOCA has lost one of its young inspirational leaders Douglas Currier. Fly high Doug and watch over the rest of us. Doug wanted to run and operate a music program under EPOCAs umbrella. Today that unbrella is shedding tears of sorrow and loss.
Going forward we must bring this program to fruition in honor of Doug.
Personally I am very weakened by Dougs passing. This is heartbreaking Doug. God willing we will work to bring about the awesome program that you had envisioned. We are all going to miss your smile and enthusiasm.
God Please guide us going forward.

We at
E.P.O.C.A apologize
For the silence and long delay.
We are overwhelmed and have been with the homeless which are basically are our clients we have reached out to the city manager the city of Worcester numerous times for help and they knew we were going under we didn't have enough volunteers and I've never left this movement I've been trying to keep it going one person at a time.

So please forgive us we have exciting things happening and we will be closing down this page and beginning our new chapter for all the ex- prisioners no matter what the political religious affiliation is.

We are here to help ALL PRISONERS AND EX-PRISONERS AND THEIR FAMILY AND COMMUNITY.

I do not have substance issues and I've only been in jail a short time and I beat my record.
All I am at this moment is a grandma on fire.

I believe us grandparents are angry and have a right to be when our grandbabies are on the prison pipeline they give us no rights so I'm trying to get a house bil started for grandparent rights, not just visitation. A VOICE!
Because DCF Department of Children and Families services says we have no right at all especially when it comes to speaking in court, because some grandmothers cannot pass the DCF application because of something that was on the file 35 years ago Grandma should not be silence! 🔥✊ And we will not anymore if I can have any say so about it.

So I don't have time to worry about what this organization's past was like or what happened because I can look around and point at every coalition and say that at some point
Do you have a past?
We fight for second chances that's all we want is a second chance so we can continue our fight for everyone's second chance. I don't have time to live in the past I just want to move forward.

Thank you for your patience and please we promise we will continue this fight against social justice and bring in the foster care system and bring in the homeless vets homeless people.
This is how our clan system worked.
Please also look up Wellbriety
It's our indigenous way of recovery and we have recovery families. Not just one recovery coach.

So please be a little bit more patient with us as we have been working on a l o t and doing a l o t a lot of outreach to get the homeless and ex prisoners opinions. we are ready for this fight! ✊✊✊💥
THEY ARE READY ✊🦬

We fight for second chances sometimes third sometimes fourth sometimes fifth but we never give up.
My grandson and my daughter are on the prison pipeline.

And my mentality is a grandmother.

Very sad to relay that a dear friend and former member of the organization has passed away suddenly.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to Christian Amado's family.

Christian you have been a mentor and friend to so very many in this organization as you will be missed greatly.

R.I.P our dear friend, fly high as you will be missed greatly.

This article clearly displays that we have a lot of work ahead of us. In Massachusetts we have a very similar situation at the woman's prison.
Woman struggling with mental health conditions are constantly harassed and abused in Massachisettts prisons.
One of the ways that we need to deal with this situation longterm is diversion to treatment.
Placing an individual in a cell who suffers with a mental illness and then harrassing and assaulting them is nothing short of torture.
The public needs to consider "public safety" in these situations.
The harassment and physical abuse of individuals suffering with a mental illness is counter productive to any form of public safety.

Newly released video obtained by CNN shows correctional officers allegedly abusing inmates at a soon-to-be shuttered women's correctional facility in New Jersey.
