Due to a beaver dam break the following Roads are closed.
County Hwy 39 at
Elmore road
Draper Hill rd closed 1/2 mile north of Percy Holmes rd
Babcock Hill rd closed at Elmore rd

Recently the Worcester Hose Co along with the members of the American Legion, Maple Groove Cemetery Association and many community members installed flag sleeves in Maple Groove Cemetery that Will help protect the flags from the weekly lawn mowing and trimming to allow the American Flags to be displayed from Memorial Day thru Veterans Day at the graves of American Veterans. There is over 420 Veterans at Eternal Rest here.

The Worcester Hose Co also along with the local Worcester/Schenevus Rotary International Association and Community members placed American Flags at the Worcester Central School to represent Memorial Day and Flag Day. There is over 100 flags placed here, with the names of loved ones sponsored by there family.

We will be Hosting an Open house at the Worcester Fire Station for anyone who may be thinking about wanting to give back to the community they live in.

The station will be open from 9-1.

Thank you to all that came out on Valentines Day to support us. The winners of the raffle are:

1st place: Jim Harris from East Syracuse.
2nd Place: Sherry Farace from Carlisle NY who choose the $300.00 dollars in cash.
3rd Place: Larry Sawyer from Oneonta NY, Larry donated the $200.00 back to the department and is a past active member of WFD.

In support of February being American Heart Saver month, the Worcester Hose Company is sponsoring a Community CPR/AED class at the Fire Department on 2/23 from 7-9 for anyone who would like to take the class.
