CMRPC recently partnered with WalkMassachusetts and the Town of Westborough to host a Walk Audit Train-the-Trainer at the Westborough Recreation Center.

Participants from Westborough, Shrewsbury, Grafton, Northborough and Hopkinton learned how to lead community walk audits and put their training into practice with a downtown Westborough walk audit.

By building local capacity and providing practical tools, this training helps communities identify pedestrian needs and support safer, more accessible transportation options across the region.

Did you know? CMRPC maintains an Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Dashboard that provides an interactive way to explore EV charging infrastructure across the region.

Whether you're planning a trip, considering an electric vehicle, or interested in learning more about local charging options, the dashboard offers easy access to charging station information, mapping tools, and helpful resources. The recently updated Version 2.3 also includes improvements that make the dashboard easier to use across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Explore the dashboard and see what's available in your community, then share your feedback to help shape future enhancements.

CMRPC recently partnered with the Town of Berlin, Town of Boylston, and the 19 Carter Community Center to host a Digital Proficiency Community Dialogue focused on understanding residents’ experiences with internet access, digital devices, and digital skills.

The conversation provided valuable insight into the challenges community members face when accessing reliable internet, obtaining devices, and navigating digital services. Participants shared their experiences and perspectives, helping identify both existing resources and opportunities to strengthen digital proficiency and support across the region.

This event was part of a statewide initiative led by the Massachusetts Broadband Institute at MassTech to better understand local digital needs and develop strategies to address barriers to connectivity, technology access, and digital skill development.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. Community feedback is essential in helping CMRPC and its partners identify needs, close gaps, and support greater digital proficiency for residents throughout the region.

CMRPC’s Summer Internship Program wrapped up this week, and we want to congratulate Hadas Brownstein, Kate Roller, Katie Woods, and Michael DeMarco on a great summer!

Over the past few months, our interns worked alongside staff on projects that help shape communities across Central Massachusetts. Their work focused on a variety of topics, including the Mount Wachusett Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), hazard mitigation planning, aquatic invasive species research, and clean energy initiatives.

To cap off the summer, each intern presented on their area of interest, sharing what they learned and accomplished through their work on these projects.

Thank you for all your hard work, curiosity, and dedication this summer. We’re excited to see what’s next for each of you!
