Join UW Extension Horticulture Specialist Jeff Edwards, who has been with Extension since 2008, on Aug. 26 for his sabbatical review of the Pacific Island Geodesic Dome Project.

Jeff will share stories and lessons from his work, including what was learned from the project and how those lessons can be applied to specialty crop production in Wyoming.

🫡 After more than 20 years serving Wyoming producers through UW Extension, Barton Stam is taking on a new statewide role.

Barton has been named a statewide rangeland management specialist, serving western Wyoming. He will also continue as program leader for UW Extension’s Agriculture and Natural Resources team.

Since joining UW Extension in Hot Springs County in 2004, Barton has worked with ranchers on issues including public grazing permits, wildfire recovery, predator management and sustainable rangeland management.

In 2025, Barton received the Jim DeBree Excellence in Extension Award, UW Extension’s highest honor, recognizing his service and impact across Wyoming.

The position expands UW Extension’s statewide rangeland management capacity and strengthens support for Wyoming producers and communities.
