At Keystone Boys State, citizens can run for and serve as mayor of their city. Mayors oversee city meetings, appoint officials and are responsible for the direction and success of their community throughout the week. In other words, they carry a major responsibility in ensuring their city is in order.

In addition, mayors attend leadership labs where they discuss their daily responsibilities, accomplishments and setbacks. As a group, they grow in their head-first introduction to executive leadership, public speaking, and real accountability.
