Lexie's Scout Project is being put to use!

Before this gear dryer, when firefighters washed their bunker gear, it was out of service for 1-2 days to allow the gear to fully dry. Now, we are able to dry up to 2 sets of bunker gear and 4 pairs of gloves in a few hours!

Washing bunker gear is important to mitigate the carcinogens on gear after a fire.

Thank you, Lexie for your hard work! Also, thank you to The Taco Vault for helping with hosting the fundraiser for this project! This gear dryer is going to help our firefighters stay healthy!

🚛May Training 🚛

Thank you Haber Truck and Trailer for allowing us to learn upclose about the different types of semi trucks and trailers.

We cover a large stretch of I29- MM56-MM68 both North and Southbound lanes. With interstate traffic, unfortunately we do see a lot of emergencies involving semi trucks (and their trailers) from motor vehicle accidents to fires. We learned about the different safety features on different trucks as well as battery placements.

Thank you to our members that are doing the behind the scenes planning to prepare our firefighters for different scenarios at emergency scenes! Our regular training nights are geared towards what our firefighters need to serve our community.

Strong northwesterly winds gusting to 30 to 40 mph with low relative humidity values in the afternoon will lead to dangerous fire weather conditions. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect for the entire area from noon to 9 PM. Avoid outdoor burning and make sure to dispose of any ci******es properly!
