At Kent County Parks and Recreation (KCPR) we strive to provide fun, safe, family oriented recreational activities and programs that promote wellness and build community ties. KCPR is busy with traditional act

ivities, such as after school, summer camp, fitness classes, and special events, and more to meet the needs of our patrons. If you have questions about any of our programs, parks, or recreational activities, please use our pages, website or feel free to contact us by email or phone during admin staff hours from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Mon - Fri. Community Center Schedule Update!

Beginning Saturday, July 4, the Community Center will be CLOSED on Saturdays, except for scheduled rentals, programs, and special events.

All approved rentals, activities, and events will continue as scheduled. Participants registered for programs or attending rentals/events may still access the building during their scheduled times.

For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, grilling will not be permitted at Betterton Beach this summer season. Due to the high volume of visitors, limited space , and fire safety concerns, this policy is in place to help keep the beach safe, clean, and family-friendly for everyone.
We encourage visitors to continue enjoying picnics and prepared foods while spending the day at the beach. Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all guests at Betterton Beach.
