🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE β€” Veterans Memorial Parkway 🚧

Wright City residents, please plan ahead! As part of the Improve I-70 project, MoDOT will be closing a section of Veterans Memorial Parkway for approximately 30 days to connect the new southern half of the roundabout to the existing parkway.

Tentative Timeline: September 14th through mid-October (weather permitting)

What this means for you:
During the closure, you'll still be able to access Veterans Memorial Parkway from both the east and the west β€” but you won't be able to drive straight through the closed section. You'll need to reach either side by coming from that direction rather than passing through.

πŸš— Detours will be in effect to route traffic around the work zone. Please watch for posted signage and follow the marked routes.

⚠️ A note on I-70 traffic: During any highway backups or closures, travelers will need to use the North Service Road or the southern backroad routes to get around the area. Veterans Memorial Parkway will not be available as an alternate.

We appreciate your patience as this important improvement work is completed. All work is weather permitting, and dates are subject to change.

Workshop Meeting Date Change for September:

Just a heads-up for our residents! The City's workshop meetings are typically held on the first Monday of each month. However, this September the first Monday falls on Labor Day, and with Court scheduled the following day, we're moving the meeting to Wednesday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m.

Workshop meetings are collaborative sessions between the City's Boards and Commission to discuss city business without taking any formal action. It's a chance to dialogue about items that may appear on a future agenda for consideration.
