911 Minute
When you pick up the telephone to make a call, you usually know what you are going to say, to a friend, a family member or a business contact. But, it seems when you need police, fire or ambulance services, it's hard to know what to say and dispatchers always seem to ask what you think are a lot of unnecessary questions.
Those questions are asked for a good reason! Dispatchers are not there with you and cannot see what is happening. It will help tremendously if you answer the questions as they are asked, avoiding any temptation to anticipate questions or interrupt the dispatcher. Dispatchers and responding officers depend on you to be their eyes and ears.
Attention:
If city hall is closed please put your water payment in an envelope and place in the drop box to the left of the front door. A receipt will be issued.
Thank you!
ATTENTION;
Many roads and low water areas are flooded and will remain this way today and tonight :
The following roads, bridges and crossings are now closed and additional roads will be closed as we continue to make assessments from the overnight storm.
Plan ahead and plan your routes to travel:
-Cayuga bridge south of indigo sky
-Strawberry bridge 690 road
-689 road low water crossing
-645 road The cut through north of Wyandotte
- 642 south of Wyandotte
- 202 road and the creek bottom road.
-663 road
- bottom of Coon hill onto Cayuga
-690 road
Allot of water,
Please don’t drive through flooded areas. Don’t drown- turn around.
The crew is out working as quick as they can to ge the roads open but this will take several days to dry out or for the run off to stop. It will probably be next week before a majority of these are open again.
Thank you
Be safe
GOD Bless

The Art 3-4 students from Wyandotte High School created Barn Quilts. They studied the origin of the quilts and designed each one. They were framed by students in the tech ed classes. The quilts are proudly a permanent installation in the Wyandotte Community Center. Our thanks to the students, Art teacher Trinda Crow and Tech Ed teacher Kelly Stevenson.
This morning the Town of Wyandotte dedicated our Veterans Wall. Thanks to Terry Butterfield for dreaming the idea, to Wyandotte Nation Tribe and HC Bauman and the Bank of Wyandotte, to our town workers for preparing the site, to Annetta McLaughlin, city clerk for organizing the event and Wyandotte HS Select Choir for singing.
