We are thrilled to introduce our new Drumline Section Leader, Joshua Gragg!

At 17, Joshua has been a dedicated member of the Wyandotte Band for 7 years and has mastered the quads over the past 2 years. His passion for music runs in the family. He's not only a percussionist, he also sings in the Underground choir, and he plays bass guitar, acoustic, and electric guitar.

Joshua’s favorite memory with the band is the thrill of performing at Bixby and standing on the field in the finals. He loves the fun and friendship that comes with being in the band and is looking forward to another fantastic year with a new director leading the way.

Outside of music, Joshua enjoys airsoft and gaming. A fun fact about him? He can play 10 different instruments, not including the percussion instruments! His favorite song is "God's Country."

Joshua's advice to new band members is simple: "Use your head." He's excited for the year ahead and gives a special shout-out to Ms. Coyne for her expanded musical leadership and support.

Join us in congratulating Joshua on his new role and wishing him the best for an amazing year ahead! 🥁🎶

Meet Natalie Betts our new Low Brass Section Leader!

At 17, she has been playing the trombone for 7 years and has been a dedicated member of the Wyandotte Band for 6 years.

Her love for music was sparked by its captivating allure. She also showcases her musical talents as a member of the Underground choir.

One of her favorite memories with the band is participating in competitions, but she truly just enjoys playing her instrument anytime she can.

Outside of music, she enjoys writing stories and drawing. A fun fact about her: she was part of a jazz band at her previous school! Her favorite band is Poor George.

Her advice to new band members is to be open-minded. This year, she’s excited about playing more songs, and would like to give a special shout-out to Ms. Coyne for her support.

Welcome! We’re thrilled to have you lead the low brass section!

Meet Kolton Robinson, our new High Brass Section Leader! Kolton, a talented 15-year-old trumpet player, has been with the Wyandotte Band for 5 years. He first fell in love with music watching high school bands march through his elementary school halls and dreamed of being part of it one day.

Kolton’s favorite memory with the band is performing on the OU field, and he enjoys the camaraderie and friendships in the band. Outside of music, Kolton loves playing video games and hanging out with friends. A fun fact about him? He can touch his nose with his tongue!

Kolton’s advice for new band members: "There will always be times when you feel pressured or have anxiety before a performance, but even if you mess up, only you and your fellow band-kids know what to do." He’s excited for the football games and welcoming new members this year.

Special thanks to Mr. Balmer for helping Kolton reach his potential. Let's all congratulate Kolton and look forward to a fantastic year under his leadership!
