Through the Minnesota State Cost-Share Program, eligible landowners may receive up to 75% reimbursementfor approved conservation practices, including:

2026 Public Notice Of Green Lake Treatment of Aquatic Invasive Species Curly-leaf Pondw**d

Notice to Green Lake Property Owners and Users

As part of the ongoing commitment to preserve and enhance the water quality of Isanti Green Lake, the Green Lake Improvement District (GLID) will be working with Lake Restoration to treat 40.2 acres of Curly-leaf Pondw**d (CLP) aquatic invasive plants in 2026. This notice is intended to keep all property owners and lake users informed about upcoming treatment activities. Treatment for curly-leaf pondw**d will take place in various areas of Green Lake during April or May of 2026. All DNR-approved treatment sites will be located at least 150 feet away from the shoreline.

Purpose and Goals of Treatment

The treatment targets curly-leaf pondw**d (CLP), an invasive plant that appears in the spring and early summer. The primary goal of the treatment program is to address areas of dense CLP growth, reduce the buildup of the plant's turion bank, and decrease the lake's internal nutrient loading. These actions are intended to improve both the water quality and recreational use of Green Lake. All planned treatment sites are reviewed and approved by the DNR.

GLID's W**d Management Practices

For many years, GLID has partnered with lake owners to employ DNR best practices for controlling the congestive lake w**ds. W**d control process has shown positive/effective results. Regulatory Requirements and Contact Information

The DNR requires notification of property owners regarding this treatment through the issuance of this public notice.
All treatment methods will adhere to Department of Natural Resources guidelines and permit requirements.
