The original school in Wyckoff was the Wyckoff Public School, built in 1906. During Christmas break in 1921, a fire broke out and destroyed the building. Disagreements over the construction of a new school led a portion of Franklin Township to separate and form Franklin Lakes. George Washington School was built on the site of the original school in 1922.

We had a fantastic murder mystery night at the library! Thank you to everyone who attended, to Graze Craze for the food, and to the amazing actors Melissa, Nick, Angelina, Debbie, and Debra who transported us back to 1926.

During the evening, Constance Kopp, with the help of attendees, investigated four suspects in the poisoning of Henry Kaufman, portrayed by our own Friend of the Library, JP. Congratulations to Para and Natalia for correctly guessing the culprit (the librarian) and winning the raffle prizes!

Constance Kopp was a real person who lived in Wyckoff and became New Jersey’s first female detective, making the mystery even more special for our community 🕵🏻‍♀️

You may recognize Jen from her many years serving the RIH community as a School Counselor and Supervisor of Guidance. Jen's session is geared towards high school students, particularly rising seniors, and will happen on Wednesday, June 17th from 7-8pm.
