Wylie Fire Rescue Wylie Fire-Rescue provides fire protection services to the citizens of Wylie with an ISO rating of 1 Paul and Inspiration SUD. We are an ISO #1 department!

Wylie Fire Rescue was established in 1909 and services approximately 60 square miles of rural southeast Collin County, including contracted service to the Town of St. Our extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) includes service to a portion of Dallas County, Rockwall County, and Lake Lavon.The population within our city limits is approximately 56,000. Population within the City of Wylie includes a la

rge combination of citizens with a growing number of young families and businesses who seek the smaller town atmosphere. WFR currently staffs four fire stations, 24/7, with four-person Quint fire companies and 1 two-person paramedic squad. This is augmented by 4 MICU ambulances serving the Southeast portion of Collin County, Parker, and Lavon with an approximate population of 70,000. Additional staffing includes the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, Division Chief, three Operations Battalion Chiefs, Fire Marshal, two Fire Inspector/Investigators and other administrative personnel.

Earlier this morning at 4:45 AM, Wylie Fire Rescue Quint 149 and a crew of 4 of our firefighters deployed to Palo Pinto County to assist with firefighting efforts on the rapidly moving Ross Fire now estimated to be 50,000 acres with 0 comtainment.
​Wylie is responding as part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) strike team to help safeguard neighboring communities in need.

Today, three of our Wylie Fire Rescue members begin an exciting new chapter as paramedic students! 📚🩺

We’re proud of their commitment to learning, growing, and continuing to provide the highest level of care to the citizens of Wylie.

Our crews have helped “save” some of these animals, and now they’re looking for their forever homes. 🐶🐱

This group was hired 20 years ago together and have stayed dedicated to Wylie Fire rescue.
